Car Wash Homicide Surveillance Video

Car Wash Homicide Surveillance Video
June 29, 2006 | 9:34 PM

A PPD cop testified at the 2010 trial that they were able to obtain surveillance video that clearly shows the victim at her car, approached and then assaulted by the attacker. It shows him throwing her into the back seat, getting into the front seat and driving away.  BTW – Mark is EXCLUDED from all of the male DNA in the ‘driving area’ of the car.  It was deemed being from an ‘unknown male.’

The video was played at trial and was in such a degraded form that it was impossible to see what was happening to the victim. It was all snowy, like the old timey TVs used to do late at night. The cop testified that indeed, due to the number of views by cops and dics the quality diminished and all they has was the fuzzy foggy thing they brought with them to court. So, he was pretty much saying that even in this digital age, no one thought to make a copy. That that one he brought was the only one in the entire world.

However, if you’d like to see an actual viewable copy you can make a simple request to the PPD records department and get one.  Which is what someone did for me.

It’s still not the best copy but the one PPD and the State used at trial was ridiculously bad. Early on, PPD had a very good copy since the cop who testified described the victim to a tee, what she was wearing, earrings - He even could tell she was Hispanic.  However, oddly enough, he couldn’t, he claimed, describe her attacker.

It’s frightening, to say the least, how casually Phoenix Police cops and dics will lie under oath on the stand at one of the highest profile trials in Arizona’s history.
